Heartless: a role-playing game soundtrack

Heartless  is the original soundtrack for the upcoming roleplaying game Sans Cœur published by Empyreal Media Productions. 

On the fringes of an alternate Europe, in a fantasy version of the Middle Ages, the kingdom of Eridian is dying. King Trahearn and his court have made a pact with demonic forces, abandoning their lands to corruption in exchange for eternal life. Nightmarish creatures now prowl through the wasted countryside and ruined villages... 

The people of Eridian need heroes, but the champions of old are long dead... 

Until a mysterious force brings back a handful of fighters from the Abyss to restore the balance. These beings, no longer dead, no longer alive, are called the Heartless. 

In Sans Cœur, players take on the role of these warriors and magicians who have returned from the Abyss, the world of the dead, to try and free Eridian from the grip of Trahearn and his decadent court. But it's a long and perilous journey to the royal palace of Caer Siddi, a dark and terrible citadel that has become an antechamber to Hell... 

With Heartless, composer Benoît Vanhoffelen takes you on a journey through these cursed, forlorn lands. Maybe, beyond darkness, lies the hope of a new dawn...
